About Cheddar Crazy Golf :

cheddar crazy golfCheddar Crazy Golf was designed to be fun to play for people of all ages. Also, essentially, if you apply your skill to the course, you will be rewarded with a better score. That’s probably the main reason why the same people return many times.

Another reason for the popularity of the course is its attractive setting. It was constructed 21 years ago using natural water-worn stone from the Gorge on the site of a 19th century Hotel Tea  Garden. A water feature flows from a stone grotto that dates from that time. The course is landscaped with trees and shrubs that have developed over the years to add to the interest of play.

Cheddar Gorge

The road winds down through the 400 foot deep gorge to where the River Yeo flows out from the bottom of the cliff where the famous limestone caves are.

The Gorge is owned by the National Trust on one side and by the Longleat Estate on the side where the caves are. Because much of the Gorge is inaccessible, it is a haven for wildlife. Peregrine Falcons have made a home there and recently both Soay Sheep and British Primitive Goats have been introduced.

Cheddar Crazy Golf is about 400m up the Gorge & opposite Cox’s cave & the same  from the council car park at the bottom.  There are more parking areas as you drive through the Gorge. There is free parking out of season. You can contact us
